History of “Stormvogel”
The hull of the vessel was constructed by Damstra Yachtbuilders in 1997/1998. Following its initial construction, there was a prolonged period during which no further work was undertaken on the hull. It wasn’t until 2007 that the current owner acquired the hull and commenced the process of completing the vessel. Subsequently, various components were procured, and the entire boat was meticulously finished. In 2009, the ship was launched for the first time and entered into active service.
In 2022 and 2023, Stormvogel underwent an extensive refit at VMG Yachtbuilders, sparing no costs or effort. Upgrades include a new Mainfurl furler boom, replacement of standing rigging, latest B&G navigation equipment, FLIR night vision, new mainsail, genoa, and jib, thorough servicing of the main engine and generator, an overhauled centerboard keel, and numerous expertly executed tasks.
