DEFINING A DECADE: AGILE 42 ‘KARMA’

The Agile 42 ‘Karma’ was a groundbreaking project for VMG Yachtbuilders, marking the delivery of the first Agile 42 and setting a new standard in high-performance cruising. Designed by Simonis Voogd and styled by Eric Kant Design, she embodies cutting-edge yacht design with a sleek, ultra-modern aesthetic and state-of-the-art construction.

Built entirely in carbon composite, ‘Karma’ was crafted for both speed and comfort. Her negative bow and streamlined hull shape make her instantly recognizable, while her retractable 3-meter bowsprit allows for powerful downwind sailing with a 180m² gennaker. The expansive, asymmetrical cockpit offers space for both racing and leisure, seating up to ten guests while maintaining easy access below deck.

The fully custom interior reflects her performance-driven design, featuring an ultra-light foam core structure veneered with teak. Gunmetal linings, indirect LED lighting, and clear carbon worktops add to her contemporary and luxurious feel. Large panoramic windows bring natural light into the aft cabins, reinforcing the blend of function and style.

As the first Agile 42, ‘Karma’ was a special project, one that pushed the boundaries of lightweight construction and modern yacht design. She remains a striking example of what happens when advanced materials, smart engineering, and attention to detail come together.
