SPECIAL GUEST AT VMG: DE VROUWE CHRISTINA

This extraordinary ocean-going 92’ tjalk is having a pitstop at VMG! Built by Feadship in 1957, ‘De Vrouwe Christina’ is a fine example of traditional Dutch craftsmanship. Under the watchful eye of Olivier van Meer, she’s being prepared for a new season on the water.

She was built with a steel hull and wooden deck, typical of the robust construction of that era. Over the years, she crossed the Atlantic Ocean six times. In the 1960s, she even served as a floating home. A yacht with a story as rich as the waters she’s sailed.

A major refit in 2015 brought her a new cockpit and a refreshed interior, adding comfort without compromising character. Now, with Olivier van Meer once again involved, she’s being fine-tuned for the coming sailing season.

We’ll keep you updated on the progress of this unique yacht!
