WHAT HAPPENS AT THE YARD: JANUARY

A new year, new progress! While we haven’t seen a real winter yet, things at VMG Yachtbuilders are moving ahead at full speed. Here’s what’s been happening at the yard in January:

At Neorion, work is in full swing on all fronts. A lot is being done on the technical side, and the tent around her keeps conditions warm and stable, allowing us to start the exterior varnishing. Everything is moving in the right direction on this beautiful 95’ schooner!

On Simmerdream, both the forward and aft sections have been completely stripped, the steel has been treated, and rebuilding is underway. Now that the dismantling is done, she will receive a beautiful new, modernized interior that stays true to her heritage.

At SDH, the Puffin 42 is coming along well. The hull will be completed very soon, ready to move to VMG for the next phase of her build. Exciting times ahead!

The sport fishing boats are making solid progress. The interiors are fully prepared, and our team is working hard on the technical installations and final hull preparations to make sure they will fit perfectly. Good progress across all three boats!

And last but not least, Sally is almost set for the next boating season! She will be ready to get back in the water soon but will stay inside our facilities until spring arrives.

Stay tuned for more updates, there’s plenty more to come!
